Knife Sets
Would like examples of some reliable and good quality knife sets?
Hi, I'm currently studying catering at college and have found that the college knives are kind of blunt and of a poor quality.
Because of this I'm looking to buy a knife set which can be rolled up or put in to a case and taken in to college, I'm looking for good quality knives which will last me a long time as I as plan on going to university after college, however they must be affordable.
Does anyone have any examples of any businesses or makes which sell good quality and affordable knife sets.

Henckles are very good, and Wusthof are good too as a set. There are also many good individual brands out there. I use Henckle blades in my work and have had them for several years. A store that specializes in cutlery is a good place to find quality individual knives.
I recommend: 1 chefs knife 10", 1 boning knife ( for cutting meats), one serrated bread knife, 1 paring knife, one carving knife ( for cooked meats) and one 6 to 8 inch utility knife, 1flat diamond steel for maintaining your edges. That's a basic kit.
