What are the values of tensile, compressive and axial stresses in treated red wood for cooling?
When wood is treated, certain tests are carried out to ascertain its suitability for use. The tests include, tensile, compressive, and axial. For treated red wood, what should these values be?
You need to find the applicable national standard. In the US, this is the National Design Specification (NDS, current version is 2005), but "red wood" isn't going to be listed. You need to find what species of wood and what grade (if your country has that, in the US there is #1, select structural, #2, stud, construction, utility). Some are not permitted for construction. I don't know what you mean by "for cooling."
Typically, treated wood does not have values different that the regular species, although denser species (like Doughlas Fir Larch) are incised to get the chemical into the wood, and that does affect the values.
